طالب كثير من الكتاب والموسسات الحقوقية والثقافية حول العالم مدينة مولدا النرويجية من التراجع عن قراراتها العنصرية الظالمة ضد الكاتب واللاجئ الفلسطيني علي ابو خطاب٬ واعلنوا عن تضامنهم معه واستغرابهم من اضطهاده في بلد تدعي الحرية وحقوق الانسان ٬فرغم مرور سنوات مازالت قضيته تنتظر العدالة في النرويج ٬حيث مازالت مدينة مولدا النرويجية ،التي وصل لها ككاتب لاجئ مضطهد ،تضطهده وترفض منحه حقوقه ككاتب او لاجئ او حتي اب ٬وبسبب الاجراءات العنصرية الظالمة ضده لم يتمكن للان من الحصول علي عمل او جنسية ٬وطالب عدد من الكتاب ان تصبح قضيته قضية راي عام في الاعلام النرويجي ٬بينما طالب بعضهم بتقديم اعتذار رسمي للكاتب مع تعويض مناسب له ولاطفاله٬ كما طالب اخرين باستقالة الحكومة النرويجية تكفيرا عما لحق بهم من اذي مادي ونفسي.
